Experience/specialisms: I have experience of working closely with a number of owner-managed businesses including a number of doctor practices. I provide an all round service from bookkeeping and management reporting to planning and financial decision making. Prior to Sanders Swinbank I worked as a manager for 2 firms of Chartered Accountants based in Darlington and Middlesbrough.
Outside work: I am married to Jill and together with our three rapidly growing sons live on and manage the family farm in County Durham where we keep a small flock of sheep and four boisterous sheepdogs.

Experience/specialisms: I have significant experience of working closely with Owner Managed Businesses, especially limited companies. I specialise in corporate advisory work and business development work. Prior to Sanders Swinbank, I worked as a partner in the Darlington office of an international firm of chartered accountants, having qualified with another national firm and spending 2 years vital experience in Zambia with an international practice.
Outside work: I am married to Maggie and like to keep fit through gym work and fell walking and enjoy watching rugby (both codes) from my armchair having given up playing Rugby Union a few years ago.

Outside work: In my spare time, I enjoy keeping fit, reading, knitting and pets, not necessarily all at the same time!

Qualifications: BA (Hons) Business Studies at the University of Northumbria Associate of the Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants
Experience/specialisms: I deal with a varied portfolio of clients; providing accounts, audit, tax and bookkeeping services. I specialise in the accountancy, audit and taxation matters for medical practitioners, owner managed companies and not for profit organisations. I also provide ongoing support to my clients with their bookkeeping, mainly with Sage packages.
Outside work: I am married to Michael and I have a young son and daughter, therefore life outside work is rather hectic as you can imagine. However I do enjoy spending time going on family trips and socialising with friends.

Outside work: I enjoy reading, socialising and armchair sports watching. I am currently studying to become a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians.

Experience/specialisms: I manage a variety of clients and provide accounts, tax and ongoing advice and support to a range of businesses.
Outside work: I am a keen horse rider and spend most weekends competing my horse at Novice British Eventing, I am also a member of Darlington riding club and have represented the riding club at both area and national level. On top of this I am an active member and Treasurer of Stockton Young Farmers Club.

Experience/specialisms: I trained with Grant Thornton, then moved into industry and also worked for a marketing company to gain experience. I have been back working in practice since 1994 and really enjoy the variety and meeting clients.
Outside work: I am a taxi service for 2 teenagers, but any spare time I enjoy socialising with family and friends including being a pub quiz team member. I love to watch a lot of sport and enjoy walking our family dog.
